Artist's statement
My work is rooted in connection — to place, to memory, and to the quiet moments that shape who we are. I'm drawn to the emotional weight certain scenes or objects can carry, long after we've left them behind. A street corner, a stretch of coastline, a familiar outline in the landscape — these become symbols of comfort, nostalgia, or transformation. That's the space I explore in my work.
I focus on capturing how places feel — the atmosphere, the pull of memory, the fragments we hold onto when we think of "home," or when we find ourselves far from it. I create work that speaks to personal connection, that feels meaningful and familiar, even if the viewer can't quite put their finger on why.
I want each piece to feel like something worth holding onto — something that stirs a feeling or tells a quiet story. Something that reminds the viewer of who they are, where they've been, or what they've loved. That's at the core of what I do: creating artwork that resonates, that lingers, and that means something deeply personal to the person who brings it into their life.
